I have a 2012 JKU Sport. How do I know which gears I have. 3.21 or 3.73? I read somewhere that the tow package came with the 3.73's. Are the 3.21's even sold with hitch?

 

You can get a build sheet from the dealer, or from the Jeep web site.

If you want to get a quick answer to your question...

Jack a front tire off the ground.
Rotate it by hand 2 complete revolutions as you
count the drive shaft revolutions.

If it rotates about 3¼ turns, you have 3.21 gears.
If it rotates about 3¾ turns, you have 3.73 gears.

 

^what he said. Or you can do to jeep's website under owners and register with your vin and get your build sheet that way

Get the build sheet, the standard tow package comes with 321's, the max-tow comes with 373's. This is for the non-rubi models. when going to the rubi, 373's standard or 410's with the max-tow.

 

My build sheet says 3.21's. yet it also says Max Tow Package.

???

 

The other option, (spin and count), will leave no question.
