Default Notes from a car Salesmen...read selectively...its a lot

Dealerships are cruel. I used to sell Ford and nissan. The things that I have seen are unbelievable.

If you can build it on the jeep site it can be built. The sites put up by the manufacturer are the most up to date sites you can look at. They update them constantly, think about it. The incentives and rebates change all the time and they are always up to date. If a option is deleted or changed they will switch the site up immediately.

When it comes to the dealers you have to remember that they are trying to make money. When I was selling cars i made a point to always be honest. i couldnt morally lie to someone. Most of them will look at it as "changing the buyers view" which sometimes is good but I think that everyone knows what they want and thats what they should get.

When buying from a dealer ask about all incentive and if you are buying not leasing have the balls to ask what dealer Hold back is and the invoice. If you buy at invoice they still are making money because invoice is raised.

The buying at the end of the month thing, where people think you will get a better deal...completely true. Most dealers have #'s bonuses. i.e....if they sell 5 they get this much extra cash....etc. So if you go at the end of the month they will be willing to get less commission and up their bonus.

When you are looking for something as specific as you are, TRY AND GO TO THE DEALER THAT ALREADY HAS IT!!! When they bring a car in, it costs them $ so it will cost you money. No one ever realizes that. When the do a trade it is even sometimes but they cant really make deals on it because they paid more to get it. Just remember...IF THEY CAN FIND IT SO CAN YOU. if the car is on the lot the can go lower than invoice. its been done...Ive done it.

Always call more than one dealer...they all try to beat one another out. If you walk out of one dealer and have a offer from them in writing, go somewhere else and take that with you. They will beat them out to get the sale. Remember that they are fighting with each other as well for who sells more. The job of a dealer is to get cars on the road at any cost. They pay lot fees. If they make nothing on the car itself its better than them paying for it to sit there..

Yea I know thats a lot but dealerships piss me off most of the time because I know how they work. IF ANYONE has any questions about anything dealership wise or about a salesman technique that is being used on them Please ask....I'm willing to help anyone out that wants it.

Sorry if I rambled

Default Good SE Florida Dealer

I ended up driving up to Stuart Jeep in Stuart, FL. There is a GOOD reason they sell lots of Wranglers. I could not get any satisfaction out of the other south dealers. If you deal with Stuart Jeep, you'll come away happy.
Sales Manager's Name is 'Paco'....

They ALL want you to take one off the lot. That's just the Stealership way. I got lucky and actually FOUND what I wanted on the lot, so it worked out for me.

I'm going to try Maroone, Stuart, and Sawgrass....

its a long process. patience is the most important thing. Someone will give you the deal you want, there to desperate to sell cars.

While a lot of what you said is true. The websites, are often misinforming and not up to date. For example. You can build steel blue and Rescue green on the Jeep website....and YOU CAN NO LONGER ORDER THESE COLORS. If the websites were so great, they would have taken away these options on April 17, 2008....the day after they stopped taking orders on those colors.

I'm sure there are other examples....but thats one I can think of.
