has anyone done this to the TPMS?
The senders have their own batteries and always work when the wheels are turning. They don't know or care if the Jeep's TPMS receiver is powered up or not. So my Jeep's senders are sending while I tow it, but the signals aren't being read.
I want another TPMS receiver in the RV that will receive the Jeep's wheel signals. They make aftermarket TPMS for vehicles that don't have factory TPMS. I just need to find one that works with the senders MOPAR uses.

My 08 Wrangler manual even states that the tires must be rotating to activate the tpms. I bought new 5 rims, 4 tires and 4 tpms inserts for the new rims. I never bought the tpms for the spare. I am 100% sure the spare tpms is not active as I have been running with 4 tpms for a little over one year.
Does anyone have a definitive explanation of how the Mopar TPMS sensors work? There is a bunch of mixed and contradictory info on here.
I have the traditional 5-tire JK setup, but with only 4 TPMS sensors. To make it more interesting, the spare has one of the 4 TPMS sensors. My (2008 JKUX) was a certified pre-owned and came from the dealership this way. All 4 sensors are operating correctly. I've had no problems with the TPMS system's functionality.
Is it possible that the TPMS reciever does not track/does not care how many sensors are reporting at one time?
