Default has anyone done this to the TPMS?

Ive been hearing about people putting their TPMS inside of pvc with a nipple on it and airing it to the correct poundage and leaving it inside the vehicle to keep the sensors happy. anyone heard of that? as in just regular rubber valves in the tires and the sensors in the cabin

Yes, I've heard of something like this and it worked. Another option is to spend a little money on Procal, or on a programmer, or even on an Aeroforce gauge.

How? Don't the tires have to be rotating?

Why do they need to be rotating? It's a simple air pressure sensor. Besides, the spare doesn't rotate, and it WILL trigger the TPMS light if the pressure goes low in that tire.

Default Tpms

I chased a problem where my sensor gave a low pressure light every morning but disappeared soon after leaving for work. Pressures were all good and no low tires. I realized what was happening when I noticed the light came on as I arrived home too. My winter rims and tires stored in the garage were tripping the alarm because one was low.

Not according to Chrysler. Check the manual.

I thought they had to rotate in order to send a signal or "power up". This is a good question because I didn't realize that the spare would set it off as well. Having tires in the garage that are low setting it off is interesting too, if my wifes car (parked beside mine) is low will is set off the alarm?

Not unless it is the same model/year of vehicle with same programming.

So if you buy new ones they have to be year and model specific, what about programming, how do they get programmed?
