Headlights
The choices are mindstaggering.. WE run Quadratec GEN II LEDs several years now.. really like Much better than Stock.. Check out Quadratec also has discount for Forum members .. you have to ask when / should you order .. Big sale underway this week too.
Are the Qtec gen 2's heated? We had a pinch of the wet slushy stuff fall from the sky in TN and my standard TruckLites got covered up to where there was less output. I had a similar incident years ago driving up I-95 towards DC and the snow was falling heavily. I ended up pulling off on an exit to clear the headlights and windshield before getting back to the road. I was the only one (not in a ditch) on 95 for a LONG stretch so the circumstances and that amount of snow were unusual for my vehicle. I think in CT I'd be looking at heated lights.
This is my second JK and both had lousy headlamps. I'd like to move up to something brighter, but I did not consider the fact that LEDs do not get warm enough to clear the lens of ice. I suppose I will look at heated lights.
In any case, I also wonder about DRLs. My 2013 was originally sold in Canada and apparently, they require standard DRLs.
Does this mean the wiring for the headlamps is different from those delivered in the US?

I haven't found an LED headlight I've been happy with yet. After two aftermarket sets I went full custom and mounted a pair of sealed projector bi-xenons. Still the best light available for a vehicle in my opinion.
