Default Headrest fix

I know the reason for the headrest angle, but I just didn't like the way it felt so I "FIXED" them. I pulled them out and using a vise, bent each post @ the top near the pad by pulling on the pad just enough to change the angle to something more comfortable.

I know like Harley Davidson, it probably voided my warranty and moved the liability to me in the event of an accident...........but I don't care. I did both sides and my wife is happier with the new position as well.

They don't bend easy, but they will bend doing one post at a time.

I can take a hint.........

Here you go.

It is hard to see the slight bend at the headrest itself, but it is there.

I don't mind the angle that much, as during a quick stop it would keep the neck from being thrown back, but rather the the hardness of the rest. I have softened it up with the Okole's, and it is much better now.

I agree. I think they should have used another material other than concrete.

I softened mine too when I had them off for the re-bend of the post.

Once my wife thought I put them on backward, No honey they've always been backward. I know the importance of having the headrest, but why is it bent weird in the first place. If I tell her about this, it will be my next mod. I don't have a bench mounted vise, can it still be done without one.

It would be hard.........I am not sure how you could do it without the vise. I had the leg clamped in the vise up by the pad and pulled/yanked on the headrest pad itself to get it bent the way I wanted it doing each leg separately.
