Default How sensitive is the ESP?

Has anyone noticed how sensitive the ESP is? I was getting off the highway in high winds at about 30mph making a right hand turn and the ESP kicked in and cut power bringing me almost to a stop resulting in me getting lightly rear ended! Nothing serious, just enough to deform the plastic bumper. Has this happened to any one else???

Same here. I can't leave this neighborhood without disabling it. The first 30 mph curve will trip it and I'll have to push the magic button--the one I installed. What kind of engineer SFB would come up with this crap feature?

I've never gotten it in the rear but after what seemed like 100 attempts of "doing the dance" I got the ESP disabled. Wonderful.

Epic donuts today in the snow - what a treat without fighting the brakes... and I'm sure my brakes will last a lot longer: no more fighting them all winter!

When I go off road the same things, that just reminds me to turn it off.. & have fun !!!
I drive mine the same way... What I was trying to get at was the WIND pushed my jeep around enough to kick on the ESP. I drive my jeep like a 16 year-old in a honda with a fart pipe through Boston to work and back.

Gaidheal:
How did you get your ESP disabled? The dealership I bought my Jeep from will not disable it.

Not normal. The ESP works great. Go to the dealer.

That's pretty interesting. I have it come on only in right hand turns going down hills at around 30 mph. No ESP light though. Dry paved road also. Never happens in a left turn.

I failed to mention it was 50-60 MPH side winds in central Montana and I had 2 bikes and a roof box on the jeep and about 500lbs of junk as I was moving cross country...
