Default infant car seat in jku

My wife is pregnant with our first child and i have a question about car seats in jku.
She got a graco infant seat and the base hangs off the front of the rear seat. It feels stable but im wobdering if we should get a different one that is shorter.

Default Greco is fine

My carseat and two boosters fit fine in my JKU.
just make sure you use the seat belt and anchors correctlly. The anchors alone should be tighten enouch that it would be hard to wiggle the seat significantly

I used my Graco seat with detachable base for my first son and now my second. I moved my oider boy to a front facing Britax seat. Both are secure and I feel safe with them in it. The Britax was a little big to set in as rear facing, but since he was old enough I just made it front facing and he loves it. It was one of those that grow with you, so it could be front or rear facing.

x2 on both grayco and britax. It's also a good excuse to go ahead and get seat covers to protect the upholstery!

I also use a Graco infant seat rear facing. I put mine in the middle, it fit fine hung off a little but it didn't move at all. I now have him in a Britax that is forward facing since he is old enough and it also grows with him. I have it behind the passenger seat and it doesn't move at all. I did remove my rear headrests and that made it fit perfect!

Just make sure to put something underneath your seat. Towel or cheap bathroom mat with some Scooby-Doo nonsense
Over time those seats leave rather nasty imprints. And accumulate crumbs.

I have the graco base as well, and have had no problems with it.

I forgot about the headrest on the Britax. The headrest gets in the way with the forward facing. I have my infant Graco in the middle and the Britax behind the passenger. I will move the infant to the other side when my wife decides he is old enough to hold his head up and she stops wanting to sit in the back with them. When I had only the GRaco, I had the seatbelt in the middle, and the anchors going one to each side. That thing was not coming out. Now, with 2 the middle just has the seatbelt and the Britax has the seatbelt and anchor on the passenge side. Yes you need something down there. I bought those car seat protectors that are made for the seats. They go under the car seat, and have pockets on the front. I think like $10 a piece. They are awesome, have tissues, snacks, etc in them for easy access.

I used the Graco base with mine and placed it in the center. I always made sure that the base was tight and it worked great. I now use the Graco Smart Seat and it is behind the passenger seat. The passenger seat is a bit forward than most would like but its the baby that needs to be comfortable.
