I had this problem and have heard other with it. Mine leaked lower intake, front engine, pass side. I have an 08' and it was covered under the limited lifetime warranty. I had 72k when it happened. Took the dealer half a day to repair so doesn't seem like it would be too hard if you had to do it yourself.

My lower intake was leaking oil on back side of engine. I was lazy and did not want to mess with it. Dealer charged me $250 parts and labor and it took them about 5 hours. That included pressure washing engine.

I just had the same problem. Coolant dripping (small) backside of engine under carriage. Took it to dealer, lower intake gasket needed replacement. 2007, so I was out of warranty.......but still the Jeep only has 27,000 miles on it, something like this just shouldn't fail. Cost me closer to $300 for the dealer to repair it.

Intake Leak - Oil
I just brought my 08 JKU in for the 5 year inspection as part of the lifetime drivetrain warranty. I'm leaking oil from the intake gasket and they will be replacing under warranty.

The intake lower gasket has been replaced. For the twenty miles I drove it, I had less hesitation and noticed it was quieter at idle. I look forward to seeing whether it cured my oil loss and dripping.

I have a 2007 and just had my intake gasket replaced under the lifetime warranty. a little over 65,000 miles on my Jeep.
have no idea what it cost as everything on my invoice said "warranty" where a dollar amount would be.

It's not too bad, just time consuming and a pain in a lifted jeep. Leaning over the engine bay wrenching way back there and trying to position the manifold without disturbing the gasket sucks

Reviving an old thread... where do you see the coolant leaking to spot the manifold gasket issue? I’m hunting for a coolant leak with no luck.
also for those who got warranty coverage is this part of the lifetime power train warranty? Or something else?
