Insulate the hard top, what a differance in staying cool, also it cuts down the road noise too. It's one of mods I did on my 07.

I normally just put the center vents blowing straight back. My three year old starts asking for a blanket and my one year old starts screaming after a while because she is cold. This has been in Las Vegas on several slow trail rides with 108+ temps. But I am still planning on insulating the hardtop... and once the kids can handle it off, the jeep will sport a bikini most of the time.

Venting the air to the back seat area is definitely doable, without having to spend 2000! Will post more when I get a little further with my designs.

This will keep the rear seat passengers cool!
It's a universal kit; parts available from any home improvement store.
