I was told the same thing. I'm waiting for the shocks to come in.

I've come to the conclusion the only thing that does NOT rattle on my Jeep is my carpet. Damn! I think I just jinx myself!!! Can carpet rattle?

Yes it can, if it rains, you have the top down, drain plugs in and it gets below freezing at night. Did this once in my YJ and the carpet was so frozen that it rattled in the tub.

Default fixed?

Well I just got mine back for the G40 Recall/striker plate/steering shaft rattle/9000mile service. Of course the striker plate issue is unresolved but that I can fix I guess on my own.

As for the rattle.... I gave him the fix that was posted on JK to grease that sucker and he was like yeah we are now aware of it. He said mine was bone dry under the boot. It was never greased at all. Shouldn't moving parts have grease on them??? hmm

Now it doesn't clunk anymore, however I have yet to take it wheeling and see if it is truly fixed.... Somehow I think a recall is coming for this issue..

Any news from the people who's dealer said they have broken shocks?

I'm bringing mine in tomorrow for front end rattle when I hit bumps. It's not the door, not the steering, and I can't find anything loose. Unlimited X, Package 24S, build 02/08.
I'll post the dealer results.

My rattle was a loose sway bar link. Tightened it & retorqued all the front suspension, no more rattle.
