Default Lifted or not?

Newb here. Asking a newb question no less. I just bought my first (used) JK and I cannot for the life of me figure out if it's had a lift (body or suspension) or not. It's got 265/70/18 Nitto's on it and it still seems like there's more than typical clearance on it. Thoughts?

Pictures being considered, and assuming there's NO lift, spacers, etc., I'd like to put the beefiest tire on there I could since I don't go crawling. Suggestions from experience?

Your bumpers are too close to the body for it to be a body lift. It's probably a spacer at the top of the coils, but hard to see on my screen. If the sway bar is pointed downward, then it probably has some form of lift on it. But to be honest, it doesn't look far from stock.

Sure looks like a spacer on top of the spring. I can see what looks like a metal spacer in there. With no lift, there would only be one rubber spacer on top of the spring. It would be farther up in the pocket of the frame.

looks for sure like a coil spacer. Looks like a metal one. Your sway bar also looks like it is pointed down which would indicate a coil spacer lift.
On a stock with no lift the sway bar is pretty level.

I agree, there's a coil spring spacer in there...

x2 here

you can also use this to measure and see about how much lift you have.

Overthinking it folks- it's no body lift (bumpers and side steps line up right) and the spacer looks to be a 2" puck, also look at the angle of the sway bar links.

The 'beefiest' tire is going to depend on your backspacing on the wheels. It's obvious that you've got the 2" lift but with no crawling- you could go with a 35" tire. I had 35's with no lift, no reason you can't.

With stock bump stops and flares a 33" tire is the largest tire you can run without any rubbing.
