Default LUK Repset 01-046 2007 JKU

I have used Luk clutches in my old jeeps without issues for a170,00+ Miles and now the TOB and Clutch are getting crappy in my JKU (Bought used go figure), 2007 Btw

Now I have heard of others saying they had alignment dowel mismatch issues with the Luk Repset kit and I am just asking if anyone has this clutch kit installed without issues, not interested in a Centerforce

One more question as well, does anyone know what TOB comes with the kit from Rock.

Thanks in advance

I read the same or similar post about dowel holes missing/wrong in the pressure plate. Strange, it didn't sound like Luk's normal quality. Was wondering about this too.

I had a terrible experience replacing the clutch in my Ford 1 ton 4WD pickup. Did a bunch of internet research and unfortunately picked a "special" clutch that chattered, slipped, and made noise -- The trifecta of clutch badness! Install one weekend and re-install the next, thankfully one of my sons was here to help. Luk went in the second time.

I hear ya there, I have had such good luck with Luk in the past. At this point my clutch is so grabby and shudders on take off I have to get that turd out of there, I'm guessing the last owner glazed the crap out of it + the TOB is chattering beyond my comfort zone lol. I don't like doing things twice now that I'm pushing 50.

Someone also mentioned using the same LUK clutch as the TJ, however I cant seem to find that information back and threw out a good one a while back I could have compared it to.

I'm pushing 60 and my back aches just thinking about it. On a side note that might be of interest: For the diesel pickup I bolted/welded an out-rigger made from angle-iron with a caster onto a transmission floor jack to support the weight of the xfer case that's off to one side, and pulled the trans and transfer case together. Haven't looked to see how it's usually done on the JK, but this worked well on the pickup and kept it from being dangerously tippy.

Hey if you don't mind shoot me a picture of that I just happen to have a welder sitting in my shop. Sounds handy I don't like separating the two if I don't have to. 😁

Here's a good pic, the arrow is pointing to the out-rigger. The other pic is my youngest in action, learning from dad, having fun, and being a big help! He was in a long hair stage of life in high school, sure looks different now.

Give it some more time, someone here has probably done a clutch with a Luk rep set on a JK.

Me too, hope there's some user feedback on this eventually. Sometimes it takes a few days for the right person to notice. Or maybe you'll order it and check it out 😉
