mirror mirror
Ive heard people say they use Harley mirrors when they go doorless, is there a specific harley mirror that everyone seems to be using or any old one will do?

I went to the closest Harley store and looked on the wall. They had one for $20, one for $30 and one for $70.
I went with the $20 one and it worked great. It comes with more hardware than you need to install it. Find one with the longest "stem" possible if you can.
Mine is just a simple round chrome (3" I think). Slides right into the top hinge of the door.

The longest straight part of the stem is 5 1/2"
The threaded part, that will fit in the hinge, is 1 3/4"
I just painted it so I had it in the house.
there are screws on the back so you can turn it however you want ... don't take the screws all the way out, they are a PITA to get back in. I thought the mirror wound come out so I could paint it easier, the screws just squeeze a piece of metal the the ball on the end of the stem. Without the screws that piece of metal just slides around in there, you can imagine the fun hour I had trying to get that piece right above the hole then getting the screw to start without being able to hold anything ... good times, good times.

I picked up the euro mirror at Advanced Auto for like $15 and leave it mounted. It folds down and out of the way with the doors on and works well enough when they're off.
