Default New Jeep w/ leak

hey guys, i just got a new 09 sahara w/ the freedom top. This seems to be a touchy subject here buuuuut.... The top is leaking in through the passenger side sound bar bolt.
I did a search on here and was horrified by all the leak complaints. Wow, not cool. Everything i can find on here seems to be older posts regarding leaking around the windshield etc.
It seems like mine is leaking in a different manner than most others. First of all, water is obviously getting in somewhere, but it hasn't rained in a couple days and I am still getting water through the bolt. Obviously, there is some water trapped up there, when I take a left hand turn, it leaks in on my wife (not impressed).
I did remove the freedom tops and look at the seals, they don't "appear" damaged?
I am on the way to my dealership to let them know what is happening..
What recourse do i have to get this dealt with and not have to go through the horror that many others on here have?
Thank You

Trade it. That's the only solution.

Everything else is just going to be frustrating. If you own a JK, you have to either learn to love a tarp or sitting in water.

Try giving the seals a light coat of vasilene or wipe them down with some 303 or something to make them seal a bit better. Mine dripped a little ONE time back when I first got it. After I started greasing it , no problems since.

Actually for a 09 to be leaking is a odd occurrence because the top has been redesigned to fix the leaks. Try resetting the tops and if no luck take it to the dealer.

Check if the passenger side panel is storing water in it. That's what mine was doing.

thanks, the weather is horrible here today.
I will check the passenger side top when the weather permits. What was the solution? did the dealer replace the passenger side top?
Also, I like the idea of a little grease.
Salt man, is it REALLY that bad? why so disenchanted?

This is a video of my replacement for my last JK that was bought back by Chrysler for leaking and various electrical problems. It has less than 5 thousand miles on it. This is three days after getting it back from having the door sills replaced. Sorry the video kind of sucks but you will get the point. All four doors do this. As you will see/hear this is a light rain. It's MUCH worse when it really rains. This Jeep actually leaks through the header at the front and drips in the center near the rear view with a soft top also. Excellent!

It doesn't work. Don't bother. I had it done 6 times on the last one.

I've been lucky with my 2008. My dad has a nearly identical one and it leaked as you described. He took it back to the dealership and they fixed it right up. I don't know what they did to fix it, but it hasn't leaked since.

Chris.
