Default New Superchips Transmission Temp Feature.

I recently had the new transmission temp feature added to my Superchips Flashpaq.

I haven't driven the Jeep since the update, but I'm not getting any temp readout in my driveway. For you guys who have already tried this out, is there a certain temp my tranny has to reach before it starts reading or did I do something wrong?

Thanks.

You can go to the SuperChip Forum - There you will find the answer to your Transmission Temp -

Here is the link related to the Transmission Temp.

http://www.superchips.com/forum/view...hp?f=18&t=8968

Hope that helps.

BTW - I'm able to see the tranny Temp after Superchip email me the link to an upgrade.

From the Superchip Forum -

We only have a limited number of items which we can display. 20 is the limit, we hit this a while ago. We wrote firmware that will allow the customer to view Tranny Temp, but they have to call in for it, as a one shot, as I’m deleting another measurable PID and replacing it with Trans Oil Temp.

In other words,
If you would like to add this to your tuner, we will have to make a special program that will exchange one of the selections of PIDS to replace it with this option.

Post up your tuners serial number and I will have them make a tune for you. Typically this will have to be reset to your tuner everytime you update it. Once you get it, you would not update your tuner unless you have too, and we will reset it up afterwards.

Ron

Yeah thanks for the link. Thats me posting my question there too.

When you hooked up your Flaspaq after the new update did you have to return your Jeep to stock first or just plug it in & select the trans feature?

I just updated the F.P., plugged in to the Jeep, & selected the trans temp to my display. All my other temp related displays are reading. Just not the trans temp. Its there, just blank.

Im beginning to wonder if my wonderful dealer didn't actually give me the hot oil update like they were supposed to.

You need the hot oil update from the Dealer in order to work.

You do not need to set the Super chip back to stock to install the new upgrades.

Did Superchip email you a link for the Transmission Temperature software ?

If yes you have to select the tune that you want to install. After you install it go to the Data Acquisition and select advanced feature. From there go down the menu and select NGC4 .

Hope that helps you.

Did you try the NGC4 trans temp selection? Scroll down past the NGC3...& it should be there. Worked for me.

Yes its there on mine. First I had the NGC3 selected & the readout was blank. I switched mine program back to stock, reloaded the 87 tune that I run, then found the second trans temp option under the NGC4 selection. It worked. You did have the hot oil update done also right? If so it should work.

I had my SC plugged in all day looking at how hot my trans would get. It never even broke 147 degrees all day. My B&M trans cooler seems to be doing its job!
