2010 two door and the top kinda blows. Honestly the top is decent but the windows are useless. I'm considering a new top and thinking NX Glide from Bestop but I'm wondering....
I could save a ton of cash buying a replacement skin but I've grown to hate the zippers. When they were relatively new they weren't an issue but as time moved on they became increasingly problematic. They are basically inoperable at this point.
Is there a good way to keep the zippers in top operating condition? I've heard bees wax as one method but would love to know other ways if you have any.
Also is anyone running the NX Glide top? Is the twill a good upgrade or staying with the black diamond material a good choice as well, especially at the $500 savings. Will the twill fold down as well as the black diamond? It seems so thick. I don't hate the slant back style but I admit I'm drawn more to the traditional straight back OEM style.
Last bit of info.... I was considering a new Jeep till I looked at pricing which made my two Jeeps suddenly much more attractive. I'll pick up something in the future but I'd like to hang onto mine for a bit longer.
Sorry about the long post and all the questions but I'm about to drop some cash and would appreciate help from experienced owners. All input welcomed
I bought a NX Glide a few months ago for my 2014 JK. I upgraded to twill based on recommendations on this forum and I have no regrets. I've only folded my top down a couple of times. Most times I run with the top on, but no windows or doors installed. I bought the bestop window storage bag which I love. So I have the windows with me at all times stored in the nice bag. If a pop up storm comes around, I can install the windows in a couple of minutes. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the rear window. I almost would prefer zippers. The rear window sides are held in place by plastic "J" strips to the side windows. These can be a bit of a pain to engage sometimes. The thing I like most about the top is that regardless of windows in or windows out, there is no flapping noises at highway speeds.

I have had the nx glide 2Dr for a couple of years now and love it. Folds down just fine but most of the time I just take windows out and put the sunrider top back and leave the top up. I resently took a 10 day trip. Bought a windstope to go with my soft doors Incase of storms and left gluide windows home. I will be getting the bag soon as it's faster and easier to put the gluide windows in than is to install the windstoper curtain. Love my nx gluide.

I bought a Trektop Glide a few years ago in twill. A guys lease was up and got a really good deal on it. Going from a Trektop NX, I really love the no zipper gig. It still fits pretty tight, and is easy to get the windows out, and fold it down if you like. The windows have to be stored flat, so i generally just leave 'em home and carry my soft uppers in the back in case of rain. I like the top alot. The NX did fit tighter, and was pretty easy to get maked with, but those F'ing zippers on a top that tight just plain sucked.

They were some cheapo's I came across on Ebay back in '16.
I was going to cut them up for an Side by Side project I was working on, but they looked pretty cool when I opened the box so I put one side on and liked 'em. They've been on ever since. They look like a narrow version of the Rugged Ridge Hurricane flares.
