Yes sir CEL came on.I dropped it off Tuesday at 1PM and picked it up today at 9AM. Sounds a lot quiter.Ontario Jeep Chrysler did the work. They took care of it with no problems at all.As long as the CEL is on with the code it shouldn't be a problem..............Paul.

25,000 miles on my early 2012 (bought in Sept of 2011), and CEL came on right on schedule.

Dealer found misfire code and set an appointment for a replacement head on the spot. Two day fix with a rental car.

They also commented that their mechanics have done numerous of these identical repairs. Looks like Chrysler is completely given over to this issue now as long as the CEL and code hits. At least that is my experience at Bob Baker in Carlsbad.

Just hoping they do a nice, quality patch up job.

Wow. I hate to hear this is still happening. It sounded like we were out of the woods if we made it past 12,000 but I guess not.

I think not. My dealer said they see it at 25k all the time. The funny thing is that until then it ran perfectly, so not really a major worry. Just drive it until the light trips.

As the saying goes, don't buy the first year when there is a vehicle make over.

With that said I hope my 2013 is GTG.

Did it twice. Bought an early 2007 and then an early 2012. Impulsiveness has its price. For the record, aside from the head, the 2012 has been miles better than the 2007, which was in the shop constantly for the first year.

I see people talking about "Chrysler Care". I can't find this on their website. I want to "open a case" as people here are saying. Can someone post a direct link for the dumb guy here.

Just call 1-800-I-AM-JEEP. That should get you to Chrysler's customer care center so you can open a claim.
