Is it possible for one person to take the hard top off a 4 door wrangler?

Add some locking casters to the bottom and some way to hang the doors in the middle and I think this is a great solution. I know what I'm building this weekend.

Pretty simple actually. I leave my rear gate open so the glass helps balance. I have a 4 door. Ir is definitely easier to pick it back up if you set it on a table or something. Otherwise you are doing a very awkward 100# squat.

I am 5'9" & 225lbs.

I find it MUCH easier solo.
First time was with help and the other side let it down on the gate, chipping gate paint and putting a white nick in the top. <grrr>

As for storage, it's definitely best to have something approximately Jeep high. Putting it on the ground and lifting from there is the worst part.
My wife just laughed out loud at these pics. It is EXACTLY how I take mine off down to crawling out under the back window. And when I pick it back up I just crawl under and stand up with it on my shoulders and neck until I get upright. Then just military press it and walk back to the jeep. It's not hard at all, just man up and do it. 6' and 217lbs by the way. You don't have to be 6'5 to get it off.

lol...I'm sure he did. If you look starting at :45 you can see the damage to the corner. Should have done it on something softer likes grass.

I'm only 5'7'' 180lbs and I remove it solo all the time. I put a step ladder right up againt the rear bumper and the get into the back. Once I'm in the back I stand up putting it on my shoulder and walk down the ladder (not as scary as it sounds). I walk it over to my grass get down on my knees and then crawl out from under it.
Takes like 10 minutes total to remove front panels, torx bolts and top.
