Rattle
I have a 4dr soft top Wrangler. I have a rattle that sometimes sounds like it behind my head and other times it sounds like is coming from above the back seat. It just start Sunday. Anyone have a a list of common problems and solutions this might be. It is hard to pin down. I have tried tapping different sections. The threat ran has been pretty good so I have not let the top down but it has been on for a week. So I am not sure why it just started.
Thanks

Sound like it is behind your head around where the seat belt attaches to the B pillar?
Put electrical tape around your door striker, bet it works. I know it sounds crazy, but it works. People have tried grease, readjusting, etc, and the noise comes back. Tape is cheap, and easy and works for extended periods of time.
Do a search for noises in that area and you will find threads on noises that I just described. Mine did it within 2 weeks of getting it, I put the electrical tape on the striker, and fixed it immediately. I have replaced the tape twice, still no noises.
If this is not the case, at least you knocked that known problem out of the list of things to check.

Not sure if it's the same, but I had a rattle/squeak, that was making me crazy.
I had the misses ride behind me and she said it was coming from where the soft top attached to the roll-bar in the rear.
I just re-tightened the 4 torx bolts on each side, and it appears to have gone away.
Good luck...

FWIW: I have found the hard styro under the roll-bar cover behind my head rattles against the bar. Not sure if it is because it is cold, so it is now less pliable. I used a piece of the stuff that ships on laptop screen (padding) to put between them
... Rattle all gone now :-)

It is the little metal tab or stopper on the soft top right above the door.
It only happens on the driver's side. I put a piece of foam camper tape on it and it worked until I forgot and opened the top.
I am looking into something better or should I bring it up to the dealership and have them fix it?
