Default rear doors stuck

sooo, can't get my rear doors off.

For the past two years, I've been taking the front doors off at will no problems. For some reason I've never taken the rear doors off. Now that I'm staring down the barrel of a beautiful week coming up, i decided to take everything off.

I finally get to the rear doors, unscrew the bolts under the hinges (of course), unplug the wires, open the doors and lift...nothing. damn things will not budge.

i tried removing dirt. i tried WD-40. I tried using a punch/hammer and banging on the bolts from underneath. no dice.

any ideas?

Interesting. The last 2 years my doors would stick the first time I tried taking them off. I would just move the doors back and forth as far as they would go and then eventually they'd loosen up.

To be a bit proactive, last fall when I put them back on for the season I put a little grease in there. We'll see if it made a difference tomorrow.

Default Same issue!!

Hey guys having a major issue with the rear doors coming off! I was able to use WD 40 with a mallet to get the pass rear off but now the driver rear wont even budge. I tried putting the nut back on the pin but now it wont go on. What should I do.. Thinking I need to remove the door with hardware and all to get the pin out and file it...

stack of 4x4's and a floor jack got mine off no problem. Make sure to have a buddy to support while you jack so they don't fly off

I had to do the same thing when I first took my doors off...when they go back on, use some white lithium grease and it will be much easier next time

I wouldn't use white lithium grease as it can dry up and get flaky. Mine did. Old fashion wheel bearing grease works well and doesn't change it's properties with time and weather. 2 cents.
Greasing the pins is a neccesity because the doors will get stuck if you don't. I hit mine in the spring when they come off an again in the fall when they go on. I also dont bother with the nuts on the bottom until winter comes and I know the doors aren't coming off for a while. Less opportunity to trash the crappy little threads on the pins.

Good Luck-
