Default Retrofiting 2011 Design Changes

Hi All,

I am a moderately considering retrofitting some of the 2011 design changes into the 07-10 design I have now. I realize this does not make alot of financial sence and understand there will be those that will tell me I am wasting my time. All I ask is that we keep this thread constructive, I cannot be the only one wondering about this?

Update:

2011 Rear Cargo Tray..................Part# 1QG02TRMAA
2011 Tailgate Keeper...................Part# 4589890AC
2011 Sub Enclosure.....................Part# 1PU16DX9AC
2011 Reversable Cargo Mat..........Part# 1PU15DX9AC (2-Door)
Part# 1PU17DX9AC (4-Door)

So if any 2007 - 2011 JK owners have any constructive input such as useful discussion, part numbers, diagrams or photos that would be much help. So far there are no parts diagrams available on Tech Authority and only minimal content on the Jeep E-store. I should note that these photos are not my own and cannot take any credit! I will be continuously updating content on this leading post as data comes out.

2011 Rear Cargo Area - Sub enclosure, tailgate keeper, floor lid, reversable cargo floor mat, cargo tray insert etc. .

I am questioning weather it is possible to incorperate the rear cargo changes including the rear power outlet and tailgate keeper built in and around the sub enclosure (what does the keeper look like on the non-infinity systems?), and further if I can easily add the plastic tray covering the rear compartment and jack. I have attached some photos below.

In addition to the 12v power outlet and tailgate keeper, it appears that there have also been at least 2-4 more cargo tie down loops. Not sure of those part numbers or install possibilities yet.

2011 JK Air Vents

I was able to graft the trim ring and the deflector onto the 07-10 outlet casing HERE

Part Numbers:
1QC05DX9AD: Outlet, Base Interior Accents
1QC07DX9AD: Outlet, Bright Interior Accents

Removal:

1. Each air outlet (1) is secured by a retaining tab (3) located on the outlet, and a stop tab (4) located on the back of the trim panel. Access the retaining tab from the inside of the air outlet, through the square openings (2) provided.
2. Rotate the louvers of the air outlet (1) being serviced to the eleven-oclock position (2).
3. Place a small screwdriver (4) or equivalent through the square opening (5) inside of the air outlet, located at the twelve-thirty position (3).
4. Carefully pry the retaining tab (shown in previous illustration) toward the center of the air outlet and rotate the outlet counterclockwise.

It should be do able. Running the wires to the rear outlet will probably be harder then installing the unit itself.

Check out the following thread for the installation of the rear power outlet. I ordered my parts from Radio Shack & they should be here tomorrow.

Looking for part numbers of: Sub enclosure, tailgate keeper, floor lid, reversable cargo floor mat, cargo tray insert etc. .

Cheers & Thanks!

removing the sub enclosure to gain room just took on a whole new problem; the good 12v outlet goes with the bulky sub;I liked the easy to remove sub of 2010 & earlier. x2 with the check strap though.

True, I plan on keeping the bass for now though, but the simplicity was nice. I am sure the 12v outlet could be re-routed.

I have the 2dr passenger seat hardware on my wish list. I still need to price it out. Also would love to snatch up some of those ac vent rings.

I talked to the parts guy and he can't pull up a part number yet. But am patiently waiting. Still trying to see if the dome light from a 2011 will work in an 2007, no responses yet. bump
