do a search . there is a very lengthy post about the stock springs and the numbers. some with an unlimited rubicon actually had lower rated springs than some of the x's. so find out what springs you have before starting. the shocks are definitely worth the swap. i got my rubi springs and shocks for $75 local so no shipping.

here is the thread
mine had the 13, 14 spring combo up front and i replaced with a 15,16 combo and would say with my bumper and winch it got me back to stock. i also added the tf leveling kit at the same time and came out nice and level

Default Any before and after pics?

I'm leaning towards doing this swap if I can find the right price. Does anyone have any before and after pics to get an idea of the look after the 1/1.5'' lift?

I went from 15/59 springs and shocks on my JKUx to 18/59 springs and Rubi shocks. I also added a Teraflex leveling kit. I picked up about 2.5" in the front overall and 1.5" in the rear.

Here's my before pic. I do have a 3/4" spacer up front.

Here's the after with the leveling kit and springs installed. It's not the best pic, but gives you an idea.

Looks great! I've got the 4 dr as well, wondering what you got with just the Rubi shocks/springs without the TF leveling kit? Any idea?

Ideally you will put JKUR springs on a 2 door JK, and if the doner springs are not at least 18/59 ( highest # are 19/60) it's hardly worth the effort. I have a 2 door and swapped 14/55 for 18/59 and got 1 1/2" of lift.

I wish I could tell you what kind of lift I got with just the springs but I can't. I had all the work done all at one time.

Completely worth the swap for BOTH springs and shocks. The Rubi red shocks are longer which will give you more articulation too! I installed 19/60's myself with the help of the TeraFlex videos on YouTube, very easy. I went from 16/58's and the ride was noticeably better, stiffer with less body roll.

Where do you find those spring numbers? I have a '12 JKU and my spring tags have long numbers, nothing like 19/60.
