My state doesn't require emissions, so we don't have to deal with that.

Still don't make since that if a GM motor is in another make vehicle and it can pass emissions why it wouldn't pass to be legal. If I lived in one of those states I would find a way to get the sticker and all to be legal.

That would require me moving for me personally to get it done and show you how to do it.

It isn't hard to make a friend that owns a shop that gives inspections. Plus there is the old fashioned system of one person doing another person a favor in exchange for a favor.

Plus if that didn't work out I could use a family members address and use it and get my tags from another state that doesn't require such inspections.

It's not hard. No big problems with that. A guy I know in AR has a wiring diagram and harness setup to make it almost like a Painless kit.

Kinda got screwed over, but not dealers fault. I have an 08 jk, with 34,500 miles. I though it was still under warranty. Dealer called and told me that the wrangler was originally purchased sep of 2007. Which means warranty expired sep of 2010.
He said the engine isnt knocking and that my vibration is a combination of all 4 ball joints being bad, and the u joint that is located at the flange of the front axle, the one on the front drive shaft that is NOT a cv joint, but a regular u joint, is failing. He offered to fix it for me, but i would have to pay. I told him id do it myself. But they were nice enough to give me a free diagnosis, and tell me what to fix, and they even reflashed my ecm for that recent tranny recall tsb for hot oil light crap. As far as the engine, i will try a different oil filter than the ac delco i have, and try 5w30 instead of 20. Maybe i can get by. If it blow, it blows, and wife said if and when it does, then i can look into a hemi swap. Maybe it can last long enough until jeep speed shop has a tried and true gm ls1 swap to sell. That would rock. So..... I have my work cut out for me, thanks again guys.

I have done them once before on a k5 blazer. Its pretty simple, just alot has to come off to get at them, but thanks for the help. by the way, what kind should I use? I dont want the dynatrac $1000 ones, but I would like greasable ones. What brand and where to get them? While im at it I mine as well replace my axle shaft u joints, since I will have it apart.

My 2010 has the same kind of feeling at times, and it has less then 2000 miles at the moment and hasn't been off-roaded yet. It's also bone stock.
