Default Rust--Hinges and Rock Rails

MY Rubi has the bubbling and rust on the door hinges that others have talked about. I'm not too worried about it. However, I've got substantial rust forming on the bottom of the rock rails. Anyone else seeing this?

I'm taking it to a dealer on Monday and will insist upon warranty coverage.

I'm a little surprised at the weak finish and corrosion control on the rock rails. They'd better stand behind it and fix it.

If they won't, then I've got a trick up my sleeve.

I'll try and get a couple of pix tomorrow. The hinges aren't that bad. The rock guards, however, look terrible, particularly on the driver's side. It is more than surface rust, too. It is bubbling under the finish and coming through.

i bedlined my hinges to avoid the rust issues and they've held up great through all the weather we have here in kansas and it doesn't fade. Simple weekend project.

Bubbling Coming from below the finish means that either the surface was not well prepared (cleaned) before applying the finish or (much worse) the metal itself is contaminated and has pit corrosion. The only way to fix the second is by replacing the part.
