Savegre wheels
I just ordered some AEV savegre wheels for my 2013 wrangler sport. Im just wondering what size of tire I could run and if they will rub.
I was thinking between
255/75/17 goodyear silent armour
265/70/17 Duratracs
255/70/17 Firestone Destination A/T
The savegre wheels are 17x8.5 with 5.2 backspacing.
I talked with a guy from AEV and looked up some info and it seems factory backspacing is 5.5-6.5. I should be fine with these wheels then, Correct?
My other question is will these tires fit the wheels and which tire would you suggest? (all the tires support 7-8.5 in wheels)

Im leaning more towards the duratracs. They have a nice look plus Ive read a lot of good reviews on them.
Im just not sure if there will be any rubbing with them, or if ill need spacers with the wheels.

With a 265/70/17 youll be just fine. When i bougt my 2010 the dealer replaced the tires as part of the deal (nothing crazy, couldnt even get them to do a 33) but anyways i went with the terra graplers in a 265/70/17 on stock wheels and they have zero rub!! So with AEV wheels you'll have no problems. You could even go with like a 285-70-17 in the duratrac and wouldnt have any problems. That would be pretty much a 33 or a 285-75-17 or a 295-70-17 those would all be 11 inch wide and under, you get the idea. Hope that rambeling helps

Thank you guys for the input.
At first I was worried about the added stress the wheels and tires would put on my jeep. But I did the math and its 12lbs extra per tire from the 17's with the SR-A's, thats not to much is it? I mean its like always having a child in the jeep at all times right, or does it not work that way? if it does, I think I might go with the duratrac.
and I would love to go with the 285's but my dealership doesn't seem to be mod friendly so Im trying to stick within the factory dimensions as much as possible.

I run the Duratrac 285/70/17's on a set of Savegre rims on my stock Sahara 09 and it doesn't rub at all. They are nice and quiet, have made no difference in the way it drives on road. They are great in the snow too. Not much the dealer can say about what tires you run IMO. No modding required to put that setup on, in fact going from the 18" to the 17" kept it at almost exactly the same tire height. I didn't even need to adjust my speedo.
