It seems the programmed keys work!
Well I got up this morning to go to work, only to find that someone tried to steal my Jeep overnight. Here are the photos of the aftermath (as taken from outside the vehicle):
The busted soft top window
The damaged ignition
Needless to say I'm waiting for the cops to show up as the dumb thief left a hammer behind (inside the Jeep).

That sucks! Glad to hear they failed to take the Jeep, the damage can be repaired (that is what insurance is for!)
Just out of curiosity, do you have an alarm? I am just curious if opening the doors from the inside with the alarm set will trigger it.

I've had this tested a few times, including the first time I took my Jeep on a 12+ hour drive home, I left my father inside of it to have a look and I went inside of the house. A few minutes later I hear the horn blasting away, turns out he tried to lower the windows using the central locking switch, then he sat there looking at other stuff until the alarm was armed.

I've locked my keys in once, and of course I was lucky enough to have the soft top on.
Short answer is yes, it will go off if you try to open from the inside. I unzipped my window, reached in and opened back door, then reached up to the front door. Alarm went off when the first door was opened.
Sorry for the hijack here...
KCoffroaderm, just be thankful it did work! good luck with the PoPo...

I'm sorry to see that man. Hopefully that hammer will have some prints and they can catch this guy(or gal for that matter). As horendous as the damage looks though, a good repair shop should have it back to you a day or so after they get the parts.
