shifter bezel??

shifter bezel??

i was wondering if anyone knew how to take off the shiftre bezel? i tried to take off the hex type screws but started to strip them. it looks like its just part of the plastic for show.i want to paint mine and im lost. can someone help me out. thanks

My plastic bezel cracked when I took it apart. It is a royal piece of junk, the metal one looks much better.
