I too have been squealing for a while now. Every time I go to the dealership, it becomes so faint I feel like I'm crazy...or they think I'm crazy...

Did the tech mention anything about safety or durability during off-roading?

I have been wondering if my issue was really corrected by the replaced wheel bearings, or if was cooler temps masking it. I haven't heard it since they replaced them, but it has been significantly cooler since getting it back as well.

My new solution is to tell people it's the brake drying feature like on the BMW's I'd like to say Im mad but it's under warranty, DC's on the road to fixing it and... I still get more chicks with my squeaky Jeep than other guys get with their compensation mobiles (lifted full size road queens).

Maybe they'll offer D44's as a replacement I'd even chip in on the cost different over a D30 replacement. One can dream.

Guys, would you please identify your front end/rear ends when describing noises, etc. It makes if hard to know if we should look at ours as a potential problems if all we know is front end noise, etc.

The noise is in the front end of the vehicle. It usually doesn't happen until the vehicle is warmed up ( my experience). It is not rpm related and stops when the vehicle is not moving so its drive train related. It sounds kind of like brakes squealing or if a bearing on a pulley is going bad. once again its not engine related just examples of noise.

The best way to hear it is drive around for a couple miles get everything warmed up. Then roll down all your windows and drive under a rail road bridge or tunnel or through a bank drive thou. Anything with walls. Do not stop just coast through at 5mph.If you have the problem then you will hear it. Try to do it where there are no cars or other ambient noise. Mine is bad enough i can hear it just going down the road.

Perfect description of the problem VooDoojk. I have a rubi (d44 front), so don't think is an issue with the d30.

Thats interesting that your D44 is having issues as, well the memo mentioned nothing about the 44 and refered only to the d30. Maybe when the TSB comes out it will cover both...who knows. Im on the phone literally everyday with my service department asking if they've heard anything (they must love me by now) and I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear anything.

yeah keep us informed please. I went in the next day after this post and told them what i heard and they had no clue. I think it was my 5th or 6th visit for this problem and i told them to hold off and wait to see if the TSB would come out instead of throwing darts and ripping my jeep apart even more. Already got new hubs for that didnt solve anything.

the only squeak i get.... seems to come from the rear and further seems to be suspension related as it only occurs over bumps.. but not always...
