Default Starting without putting clutch in

I love that in 4WL I can start my jeep without putting the clutch in, does anyone know how to fix it so I can do it all the time ?
There is probley a thread in here but I couldn't find it. There has to be a wire or something to make it so I can start it in Neutral in 2WD. Thanks, Mike

There is nothing you can do for making sure it is in neutral. I'd imagine you can just jump out or bypass the clutch safety switch..First time it is not in neutral, you'll regret it! Just imo.

There are times I dont want to get in the jeep to start it up,I just want to start it up. I am surprized that more people haven't chimed in on this. But I guess this forum is for the younger crowd who never had cars or trucks that you didn't have to be in the drivers seat with either the clutch or brake on to start the vehicle. Thanks for asking tho.
oh and really one of the big reasons is cuz my legs are on the short side and I need to put my seat forward to push the clutch to the floor, lol, or sit up on the seat.

Thank-you for the link, I just did it and it was very simple. I plan on putting a switch in, but meanwhile it is just wired to ground.

Default On my '90 YJ

the slave cylinder went out. You have to pull the tranny to change out - didn't have the $$.

Drove it w/o clutch hydraulics for 1 mo, before the wife drove it one day, brought it back promptly and made me pay the tranny guy to fix it. :-)

LOVED being able to start the vehicle while standing beside it.

HATE the clutch 'safety' switch on the newer ones ('99 and '07 have it).

I would LOVE to disable mine, and love that I just read I can do it in 4WL.

Never had any problems. It's a Jeep, not an Audi. :-)
