Sticker-less?
Yeah dealers badging is a must to remove. Hair dryer and patients is what I know for removing decals. Get them warm and the goo mostly comes off with the sticker.
Wow... the nerve, that they would do something so silly and bone-headed.
I would go beat the dealer senseless.
I had a Ranger all decked out for show purposes, had to take it into the dealer for some ABS service work, when i got it back from them it had dealer stickers all over it. They where on the front fenders under the "Ranger" badge, on the tailgate in TWO spots. They took OFF my aluminum lighted license plate frames and put those cheap-assed plastic dealer license plate covers on it instead.
You wanna see someone flip out? I lost it. the service manager was hiding behind his desk & the "mechanic" was suddenly "on lunch"

they couldnt get the stickers off fast enough & they had my plate shrouds soldered back in recrd time. (oh, i forgot to mention they cut the wires to the lighted frames... CLEARLY violating state inspection procedures by removing my plate lighting)

heat would be your friend. I have heard of people using heavy fishing line to get the heavy plate off (careful not to remove your fingers) But then you would still need to get the sticky parts off.
I think i read where someone did this... does anyone recall?
I would use caution on the grill when peeling to much, it is plastic, i dont know how well the paint adhesion is there compared to the sticker adhesion to the paint... one is gonna give.

I have a dealer metal badge with a super adhesive... the hair dryer thing works???? what were the steps you took?
For the metal dealer tag you can always take some mono fishing line...tie a few knots in it, spaced an inch or so apart, and work you way behind the tag with a sawing motion to cut through the adhesive. I've used that process in the past and it works without scratching the paint. Now it won't remove all the adhesive cause that stuff is usually thick. I only ever used 3M auto adhesive remover on my paint and never had any issues.

BTW, I wasn't sure it was a good idea, but I think I like it.

I told my dealer specifically not to put any dealer badges on the Jeep or I would not except delievery.
So instead, they put dealer license plate flames, a dealer tow hitch cover and a dealer rear tire cover. The Jeep looked like a rolling billboard.
Until dealers start giving me money for free advertising you'll never see their names on my vehicles.
By the way, I work in advertising.
