On another note, Just take the money and put flares on. The little bit of money you may be able to squeeze out of them will not be worth the fight.

I ruined a front passenger flare on my JK.. I was quoted $650 parts, labor, paint.. FOR ONE FLARE. thats why I went xenon.

What color/body style is your JK? I live in Suffolk and have a set of IMMACULATE SILVER flares for a 4dr.
You make a good point, the insurance adjuster is thinking black only....

However, $200 to paint the flair is way too high. You can do it yourself for a pittance.

Left rear black plastic flair for Wrangler: $65 from Quadratec
Plastic Rivets: $9 from Quadratec

From here: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/
12 oz aerosol Acrylic Lacquer Spray Paint Prime: $8
12 oz aerosol can of plastic primer: $8
12 oz aerosol can of any Jeep Wrangler JK base coat: $20
12 oz aerosol can of high gloss clear coat: $8

With even a little skill, you can produce an acceptable finish.

I did one of my wife's mirror covers on her Grand Vitara.. Looks as good as the other side and for a fraction of the cost of a body shop shooting it.

I've been doing body and paint work for a living since 1984 and my opinion is that spray can products while they might work ok for small parts like a mirror or trim piece I wouldn't even waste my time using them on a JK flare. First of all, spray can stuff isn't going to flex so vibration is going to cause it to crack out plus it has no chip resistance so its going to get chips that are going to crack out some more and they have no UV stuff in them so in a year or so the clear is going to look dull and probably chalk out. Take it to a professional to get an accurate color match and only by someone who uses Glasurit, Sikkens, BASF or Dupont clear.

If you didn't mind black stock flares, people sell them cheap in the For Sale section and even sometimes Freebies section. If you plan on going aftermarket flares, I'd use this time to upgrade and or just get cheap one's. You should bring the bank a dealership quote not rely on an insurance co quote from THEM. Or get your Insurance co involved and I'm pretty sure your insurance will make them pay for it or at least try to since it happened on their property and their drawer was not pulled in after a transaction. You don't have to fight it, let your insurance company do it. Was a police report involved? Did you report this to your insurance co.?

I swapped out my painted Silver for black stock flares. I prefer the black look to be honest.

If you have silver flares, I can sell you my rear ones cheap. I just want to get some cash for them.

I actually got a set of black ones for $50 off of here. And the install was a piece of cake. I have extra rivets and clips if you need them. I have no use and can send them to you if you want.

You got an estimate from their insurance company, from their adjuster.. Their lies the problem.

Go to the Jeep dealership, get a real quote, not some crap they pulled from the internet or some piece of software.
