You will rue the day when that license plate and tail light theft ring swipes yours. And I will be there... to laugh!

OMFG! just cut the 2 "cylindrical stubs"off.
If someone really wanted to steal your license plate for some odd reason, its only going to take them an extra 20 seconds to remove the extra 2 screws. But let me guess by that time you will be running outside in your underwear with a shot gun to catch the thief in the act because they are just standing there flabbergasted and confused because you used 2 Philips and 2 flathead screws to hold your plate on???

For christ's sake, its a piece of crap, plastic holder! 2 or even 4 screws is not going to keep your license plate safe. Your most likely going to tear that holder off anyways, whether its from and tree or boulder on a trail or maybe the back end of a prius thats parked in front of JCPenny's shortly after you had a session of mall crawlin'!

Oh btw, there isnt 2 screws holding the tail lights on..........there is 4.
Thaannnkkk yoouuuuu!!!

Is the 2012 different from earlier models? My tail light assemblies are held on with only two screws. The two on the outside edge don't have to come out. In fact, they should not be removed if all you want to do is remove the assembly.

(Unless you mean 4 screws to get BOTH tail lights off.)

Five years later and it's all still there. With a manual transmission anyone could put it in neutral and push it away. Sure I'd be bummed if it was stolen, but the parts and Jeep are insured.

My front plate is mounted to the roller fairlead with MagLite clips. OMG, I'm starting to panic just thinking about it.
