Default supreme gasoline

So by mistake, my girlfriend filled up my car with supreme gasoline instead of regular gasoline in my JK 2012. Would supreme gasoline damage my engine or anything else? I heard that supreme gasoline runs a little hotter than regular.

thanks for your help.

It won't hurt anything in the Jeep. Guys with Superchips have to run it on the higher calibrations.

I actually pick up ~.5mpg on the stuff. However that does not warrant to step up in cost.

No, you are all good and you make get a mile or two more per gallon as another poster stated but not enough to warrant using it on a regular basis. Don't know that much about the computers and programs in the Pentastar but some cars computers are setup to adjust the timing based on the fuel that is run.

At least she didn't fill it up with the pump that has the "Green" handle

Premium is a higher octane for vehicles with high compression. It takes higher temps to ignite it. When a high compression engine uses lower octane it knocks and or runs on after the ignition is off.

Running it continuously in a lower compression engine can eventually leave residue and screw up the fuel system, mostly injectors that aren't designed for high octane fuel. Running a tank here and there won't effect it.

It adds 50 hp at the wheels and you gain 15 mpg's.

Just kidding, your gonna be fine. I have to run it in mine. It's tuned for 87 but the gas out here in Vegas sucks so bad I have to run 91 octane to avoid detonation or "pinging".
