Default Is there a big difference between Rubicon shocks&springs vs Sport shocks&springs?

I just bought a 2012 JK 2 door Sport. Since I have a small budget for aftermarket parts, I’m installing the AEV 2" spacer for now. One of my friends just got a new lift for his 2012 JK Unlimited Rubicon and Im thinking about buying his shocks & springs.

If im running the 2" spacer, would it be much of a difference if I run the Rubicon shocks and springs over the Sports? Are the springs larger? Would it ride smother? Would the 2012 JKU shocks and springs fit in a JK (2door)?

thanks!

A guy in our club did that. He has a 2 door JK Sport but bought the 4 door Rubicon springs and shocks off another member. He had about a 2" lift with the swap of the springs BUT he also had death wobble problems, when he hit bumps in thee road. Not sure if it was because he was a 2 door running 4 door springs but he had his jeep in the shop for a week, trying to get the place that installed them to figure out what was up. I don't recall what he did to fix his issues but if you have a two door, you may want to take this into consideration.

I had the 4dr rubi springs on my 07 2dr with no issues at all for a good 80,000 miles. And know several peopl that run the same with no issues. My guess is something wasnt put back on tight enough

Chris33... Is there a big difference between the two? Does it ride better? Bigger flex?

The shocks are an improvement but the springs are just stiffer. Ride quality is about the same maybe slightly rougher. Had rubi springs and shocks for 20k with no problems until my ome/bilsteins. Just make sure you loosen the track bar install the springs then tighten at new ride height or you will get DW or flighty feeling.
