throttle issues? (maybe gears, maybe not, help.)
We always have to keep in mind, there's not a ton of money to be made in diagnosing some pretty abnormal symptoms. Easy things to pinpoint and replace, sure....but mechanics, both jeep dealers and independents, usually don't care to spend a lot of time trying to diagnose things that are really hard to track down. They'd rather move on to the next more profitable client. It's really hard to find someone worth their salt in that field IMO. Good techs exist, but they are more rare than we'd like to think.
SO, digging a bit more just in effort to help. Take a look at this thread -

I don't think it's the sensor as buddy had a code thrown specifically FOR the sensor, but I'd start leaning towards the pump maybe.

I don’t mean to dig this up again but a friend of mine upon hearing about my issue said to get my alternator checked out. I’ve had the problem again sense posting (so that you don’t have to read: after driving about 100 miles, my throttle cuts out and I have to pull over and restart the car to get going again.) this time, however, I hadn’t driven long but noticed I did some quicker acceleration and the throttle cut out. No engine light came on this time. As she said I should check my alternator a bunch of other symptoms popped into mind. On a few instances, my power windows would fail til I started driving for a little. Or I would start the car and unless I gave it a little rev before then I would stall out upon putting it in reverse. I know Jeep factory headlights suck, but mine definitely do too (but maybe not more than others.) the windows and stalling out I haven’t really had a problem with in a while, but it used to happen. Is it worth getting my alternator checked for my throttle issue?? Thanks! Feel free to ask question, sometimes what I write is just not that clear.

Maybe bumping to the top will bring a few others into the conversation. It's pretty easy to test an alternator & battery with a multimeter by checking the voltage between battery terminals with the vehicle off, and then doing it again with the vehicle on. with the vehicle on and the alternator charging, that battery should be close to or above 14v. I tend to think it's not alternator related cuz if the alternator wasn't charging properly, you'd be having battery issues that would be overly obvious. It seems to me that something is throwing the jeep into a quick failsafe/self preservation mode (killing the throttle) so you don't damage the engine. It does seem more likely to me that it is related to that oil code and that maybe the window and and putting it in gear thing are unrelated, but I'm just thinking out loud. This is not anything I've dealt with before myself.
