Default Throw out bearing?

I'm getting a squeal (sound almost like running you finger around a wine glass harmonic noise) when I push my clutch in. I'm guessing throw out bearing? It goes away (minus a faint chirp chirp) when I let off the clutch. I just purchased a LUK clutch kit but I'm curious this would probably be the diagnosis for the noise? 100k miles one it. Anyone else experience that noise while pushing on the clutch? It mainly happens on cold mornings and tends to go away after a while.....it is pretty loud.

Yes that's a throw out bearing, they should be replaced when you do the clutch since it's cheap and you already have to the tranny out. Make sure you grease it.

Great, it should fix it, manual transmissions are pretty simple, pressure plates make more of a crunching sound. Good luck!

Mine just started squealing 2 days ago only when clutch is pushed in but I purchased the LUK kit and I'm good friends with a guy who is a mechanic for a city fleet (including jeeps) so he said he would do it for 200-300 depending on how long it took him. So $425-$525 all said and done.

my 2012 JKU is making noise after 24,000 miles, both my 07's made the same noise

Our first 2007, was fixed more than once by the dealer. They never did fix it correctly
