Default Time for tires.... thoughts?

I have have a stock 2007 Unlimited X with the stock 16" wheels. I am all set to order some new tires, and then eventually do a small suspension lift down the road. Ive been reading alot of people did fine with 33" tires and no rubbing issues. Gotta love the JK! Do any of you have experience with this? Id love to put on some Dick Cepek Mud County 33x11.5R16 on there. First of all do you think I would see any problems with backspacing on the stock 16" wheels, and do you think Id have rubbing problems in the front? My backup idea since a lift isnt feasible right now is to go with Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 265x75R16 (32x11.5R16). Im pretty sure there'd be no issues with a set of 32's correct? And do you see any problems with these on the stock wheels?

Im not particularly tech savvy, tech retarded might be a better description, so any and all input is appreciated. Thanks guys!

I wish it was time for me to get new tires.... I just cant rationalize buying new tires when I have new OEM tires...

As far as my research brought me.. I am going to do a 285/65R18 tire and 3/4 inch spacers... I dont even think I need spacers but I like to bring the wheels further out of the wheel well, looks better

Well as of now I think Im going to go with the Dick Cepek 33's, and just go ahead and add a 2" BB in a few months down the road. Doesnt seem like many of people have had any problems with 33's at stock height except at full flex, which wont be a problem over the winter, just need to get that lift in by summer time when Im out wheeling a bit more. I dont foresee any problems with the stock rims on the Mud Country's, but again I dont really know what Im talking about much.

Still making a decision on this....do you think wheel spacers will be neccessary for tires that are 33x11.5?

My wife is telling the same thing, she said that once the tires are worn out I can get new ones and I am looking at the 285/65R18's in the BFG AT KO's. It sucks when the boss makes sense on things.

I have the opposite problem, mine continues to make fun of my "rental car tires" as she puts it.

ESPMike, you will be fine with those tires without spacers. I run the same width and do get a very slight rub on hard turn with the sway bar but I have 34" tires.

Even at stock height? I noticed in your sig that you have 1.75 BB. I wont be lifting right away, maybe not at all.

You'll be fine at stock height too.
I know a few people with 33 X 11.5 tires with no lift although you might rub on the fender at full flex. Of course a small lift will make your JK look cooler.

I may still do a 2" BB. Funds are just too tight right now to do both. In the mean time Im going to pick up the 33's then do the BB down the road potentially. Glad to hear I can grab the tires without spacers, trying to avoid the extra $200 expense.

Now the decision comes down to Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTZ or Dick Cepek Mud Country.
