JB Weld should work great and a similar story to make you feel better...I was drilling my fan shroud (on TJ) to relocate for body lift when bit went through and nicked the radiator also. The leak was immediate, but 80K miles later the fix still worked!

always the easy task that turn out to be the hardest. To make you feel better...

i was 18, changing oil on my XJ and i couldnt get the filter off and couldnt find the strap wrench. S o i decided to run a screwdriver through the filter and use it to turn it. Put it through the filter and it ended up shredding the filter because the filter wouldnt move. 2 hrs later my brother comes home from work to find me covered in oil cursing the Jeep. He grabs the strap wrench and turns the filter out... i was turning it the wrong way...
