Default Transfer case leak

I noticed something wrong with my transfer case over the weekend, so I hit it with some starting fluid and wiped it down. The first picture is immediately after cleaning and the second is 15 mins later with no driving.

Options?

Hard to say for sure across the Internet but that looks like a cracked case to me.

I'm 100% positive it's a cracked case.... or at least as sure as you can be before you pull it out and look at it closer. I'm reading that the only place to get replacement case parts is through the dealer and they run about $275 each. Also it seems the case is magnesium. Is this weldable?

It looks like the part number is "5159099AA-M". Can anyone find it for less than $329?

JB weld able.. Lol

Magnesium is hard to weld, you have to pre and post heat slowly. Look for a junkyard jk rubicon and swap yours out for a 4:1 trans case

Yeah, I'm not feeling the whole welding angle now that I know what it's made of. And JB weld would fix the leak, but now I'm afraid of the whole case failing. There are a few cases of it and the end result wasn't pretty.

How about a write up or service manual link for taking the TC apart?

Tell me about your drive line...any vibrations? You dont want to replace it and go through this again.
