Transfer Case Question
Tonight I was checking fluids in my drivetrain, when I got to my T-case I cleaned the metal tag off and I noticed it was stamped 241 J. My rig is a 2009 Rubicon Oasis and it has the locking front and rear dana diffs and the front electronic disco swaybar. I also just picked up the newest copy of JP magazine recently and I was reading it tonight and noticed that jeeps came either with a NP241 or NP241 OR T-case, the NP241 OR comes in Rubicon models. Why is my T-case stamped 241 J if my Jeep is a Rubicon?

OK, dilemma solved!
I just went outside in boxer shorts and a t-shirt with a flashlight and climbed under the Jeeps and the temps are in the low 30's out there.
Both the Rubicon case and the standard case tags are labeled NV241J. There is no OR beside the NV241 stamp on the Rubicon.
If you look at your tag at the very bottom it will have the word Ratio stamped on it. Underneath the Ratio stamp should be numbered 4-1. The standard JK case is numbered 272.
Hope this helps and never mind that my balls are now shriveled to the size of sun dried raisins...
