Tube doors
#11
While that may be true for most tube doors, I feel very safe driving in mine. They are made of od 1.75" thick walled tubing and all welds are completely solid around the entire joint. I think they are every bit as strong, if not more so, than the stock doors. That was part of the reason I chose this particular manufacturer. Along with the fact that they "bulge", which gives a nice roomy aspect that I don't get with the doors on. The padded armrest and the slight slant to the top bar, make them very comfortable for driving. They were not in the same price range as the ones I see for sale by most manufacturers, but then I feel I got what I paid for. They have never rattled, the latch workes flawlessly, and the fit is great.
It is unfortunate they are no longer made.

They certainly help keep prickly brush from tearing the crap outta your leg sometimes! Don't ask me why I know this
I had the body armor doors for awhile... They look very cool but never quite latched well, had a tendency to whack the door edge taking off some of the paint. Switched to or-fab and I love them. Latch works perfectly and they're comfortable to rest your arm on. Plus they keep the wife happy & the dogs from leaping out at a stop.

SpiderWebShade makes custom coverings and has done tube door covers for a few forum members already. Give them a call if you want to know more. I'm not affiliated with them either, just reporting what I've seen on here.

I have the Body Armor cargo-net doors and love them! I swapped out the padding with pipe insulation (sparked up for the kind with adhesive on it so it completely wraps the tubes w/no gaps). There was enough Velcro on the cargo netting to secure it well and it's MUCH more comfortable. I purchased Body Armor's mirrors - they are not spectacular, but work ok. If I recall correctly, YJ mirrors will fit - not sure on that 100% though.
