Default Using jack with door removal????

Ive heard of people doing this but im scared of bending the bottom of the door. I got a 07 and the previous owner never once removed the doors and theres a fair bit of corrosion on the hinges so they dont even open and close smooth, let alone take the doors off. Ive been spraying a lot of penetraiting fluid in and on the hinge and pulling as hard as i can and not one of the doors has even budged! So can anyone who has done this tell me if you bent your door at all? Did you put the jack and block as close to the hinge as possible?
And for those who took their hinges off, did you have any trouble with the fitment when you put them back on and haivng the doors not close like they used too cause ive heard of that happening too?

I had a jeep that felt like the doors were pressed in. It took some time but I used a screw driver to pry between the hinges while swinging the door back and forth. Then loaded up on anti-seize.

FWIW I've found it also helps to have them out at a full 90 degree angle to the Jeep when lifting.

no, no issue at all. It doesnt take too much pressure to ease the door up on the hinge. Use a rag and wood block if too concerned at damage.

Put the jack in the center, I dont think it will matter where.

Was your block the length of the door to try and even out the pressure?

I didnt use a block, put a Hi-Lift under and cranked it up, no damage and easily broke the strain/tightness in the hinge.

I removed the two hinges from the jeep and of course the entire door came off. I was then was able to work on it on the ground to get hinge off the door with a rubber mallet. Much easier than try to pry it off with the weight of the door pushing down on it.

Not the right bolts. Maybe you should look up a YouTube video? The bolts face the ground on the bottom of the hinge when the door is installed.
