I didn't catch the brand, but Speedy Auto Glass did it up here. They cut the old out from the inside because they feared scratching the paint on the outside. Took them longer due to trim R&R, but they didn't charge me any more for the extra care. Glass looks stock to me, no complaints.
Just checked... they did put in MOPAR OEM glass. $326 with lifetime warranty against leaks/defects. Done in about two hours.

Is is normal for jeep windshields to attract rocks so nicely? I have had it for about 4 months now, and about a month ago SMACK big rock chip in the middle, and about 2 weeks ago same thing even bigger SMACK.. It sucks, And I wasn't even doing anything cool, I was driving on the road!

I think it must be fairly normal... I just had my first repair done on my second windshield and both fixes were in the last month.

Our Jeep is about 9 months old and the windshield held up until we went down some roads that are notorious for damaging windshields. The Dempster Hwy in Canada's Yukon Territory and the Dalton Hwy in Alaska. They are very long gravel roads. Our first buig chip came as we sat on the side of the road waiting for a big rig to pass. We were not moving at all and still a rock got us!

Thanks for the replies. Just had the glass installed. It is PPG and looks fine. It was $294 installed. No scratches.

Finally got around to replacing my multi-cracked windshield from the Alaska trip yesterday.

$310 via mobile install from Safelite....lifetime warranty on leaks, defects...no idea whether it was true Mopar OEM or not....they had a "list" price of $500 on the piece of glass, so might have been.

Just got mine replaced yesterday with an OEM Mopar. Done by Safelite in about 20 minutes!

I did notice a few scratches to the surrounding paint though, so a little bummed about that.
Maybe the guy should have taken his time.

Got mine replaced with Aftermarket glass - 2 weeks later saw the rock coming in slow motion and crack another one- I said forget it- just leave it till it gets worse
Also change my comprehensive insurance to cover damages like that for $10 deductible - cost $50 a year. Worth it

I had mine done last November I think. It was OEM, b/c there were no after market ones available at the time, I was pissed too, b/c of how easy it is to crack these cheep windshields, I would recommend trying the after market ones, b/c no windshield should have this many cracks so soon. DC even has a TSB for the cracks, saying that it isn't covered under warranty.
