Yes, it illuminates the exterior lights as well as the light in the cluster.

I guess the turn signal issues must go along with all the other gremlims in the JK computer system. Sometimes I have to push the unlock button 2 or 3 times to get the doors to unlock. When I first got it, I set it to NOT honk the horn when I unlock it, but over the years it has honked the horn 3 or 4 times.

My fog lamps turn off when I use the right turn signal, but not left. They come back on when it comes back to center.

Exactly. I accidently do this now and then. Find myself thinking of all the drivers around me scratching there heads like "wtf".

Bumping this old thread, because I have the same problem, and it's driving me apeshit bananas.

The 3-blink feature work normally for signalling left.

The right one often doesn't work easily - I need to push the lever further, almost past the "bump" before it'll work. And sometimes, maybe 30% of the time, this will trigger the left 3-blink signal.

To me, this is not only a major safety issue, but it also makes me seem retarded. Anyone have any ideas on the solution?

I think I've seen my JK do this too; I blamed it on me being a ham-fisted klutz. Now I'm going to watch extra carefully.

I think its a problem with the LAN system.

Mine does something similar.

Turn on left signal, manually turn it off.
No.
goes to right signal.

Then I do the left, right, left dance until I can get it off.

Even more annoying...

Every once in a while, not often but often enough to drive me crazy, when I use the turn signal I get one sweep of the windshield wipers.

One sweep....

Weird.

I have had the dealer note my issues, but I don't expect any real help.

Could possibly be a bad multifunction switch ?

Mine definitely does this. I bump the lever for one direction and I get the other. Or when I'm canceling a signal it'll go the other way too. So weird
