Altho I never did much sailing, I was broke into it on a 25' Santana on the beautiful waters of Lake Tahoe.
It was so different for me as I was pretty much raised waterskiing on the Lake. I loved how quiet it was, and how much speed you could actually pick up.
Fun Stuff...!!!

That would be a beautiful way to lose your sailing cherry! Beautiful area, and a nice boat too. Most people don't realize just how fast some of the sailboats can go. Some will carry enough speed to waterski behind if you've got the right conditions.

Default Tall Ships are my game

Sailing will always be better than being on a stinkpot. And sailing on a tall ship is one of the best ways to ply the ocean. www.starclippers.com

Getting more and more involved every day. Sailboats are dirt cheap right now if you're looking at buying.
