No permission???!!!
Am I to understand that the Official response is to NOT use the JK App but use Car Talk App that is rated mediocre and has bugs?!?
JK Forum will NOT support it's own App? Please don't spin this with sugar: either JK Forum supports it's own application or it does not. If JK Forum can not support it's own app then that means it doesn't really care.

The replacement for the JF Forum (Forum Runner) app is Garage Talk which was also developed by Internet Brands. I don't know if the old JKForum app is being supported any longer, I'll try to find out. There is a new version of Garage Talk being tested and hopefully released in the next few weeks which does fix bugs and add additional features. Thanks!

Thank you for the reply. By not maintaining development of your own app speaks volumes of the direction of this forum/business. A "brand" that creates it's own portal usually has features "only or better accessed" with its own proprietary application. By "giving up" your own app demeans quality because you then allow a lower quality interface. The interface is your face to the world. Cheap is one word that jumps out. Cutting corners to sell is another.
The JKForum will now in many users minds become GarageTalk. You have now devalued the brand in a very major way.

Your are painting very broad conclusions concerning IB's intent with mobile apps which are contrary to IB's actions. Considering a large portion of network traffic is mobile it woud not make sense to not support an app. One more time, IB developed a new app called Garage Talk to replace the JK forum app, there is a version 2 coming soon which should correct the bugs we are seeing. With both apps available, the idea is to use the one that worked best for you and I have reported the new permission error on JK Forum app to IB. I do not know if support for the JF Forum App has ended, I'll find out. Thanks.

Didn't have to give up my credit card info for the jk forum app like garage talk attempted to do... Based on that right there I won't use it.
Edit: this is my bad, had some apple account issues. No cc needed for the app.

I disagree. I think they should leave it out for the individuals that still use it. I have downloaded the garage talk app. Imo it is a drastic jump of user interface for users to where if you pull the jkforum app, some may not transfer over. I still use the jkforum app and use the garage talk when I have to send a pm, posts a fs add, etc.
