I'm headin down to Georgia Pass on Saturday in all likelihood. Trying to see some colors. The only problem is we were going to leave earlier than noon, so not sure that helps. It'll be an easy trail up and then we'll decide if we go over and run Swan River as well. Let me know if anyone wants to go..
We had the luxury of seeing some color this past weekend, Boreas Pass was gorgeous. Sadly, leaving before noon isn't an option this weekend... again, I have a class in the morning.
We're heading to the UFC fight that night as well, so we can't be away into the evening -- we just want to get away from the city for a bit.

Those are awesome trails not to difficult but gorgeous. Lead King has some way cool waterfalls.
Make sure to take some spare parts; hoses and stuff like that. The closest real place to Marble is Leadville, my wife busted a radiator hose in her TJ on Devils Punchbowl and we had to limp her jeep to Marble find the mechanics brother to gives a hose that didn't really fit so we could get the 30 miles to Leadville to fix it properly. Needless to say an adventure worth avoiding.

We made a run up Saints John and down Swan Fork on Sunday. There was fresh snow on the ground from about 9000 feet up. It was cold and wet from a rain/snow the night before. I think the games kept everyone at home because we saw only 4 atv'rs and 4 jeeps all day.
Unfortunately we are going to have one of those wet fall seasons where the trees go from green to brown in a few days. The colors were better on the ground cover than the trees.

Pearl Pass from Crested Butte to Aspen.... this was a great trail.. pearl pass on the Aspen side had some snow on the top and got a little slippery.....
but only in a few spots.. and the snow didn't last long. Gothic rd up to the Closed road (1 mile south of Emerald Lake) then Washington Gulch up to Emerald Lake, then to Crystal via Devil's Punch Bowl.... I walk the devils punch bowl first then drove it....
both ways we took Kebler Pass back to Crested Butte,,,,, not much color there yet
then we drove Cement Creek trail (road) this one had tons of pot holes.... this area had the most color.. we then drove up to Reno pass... then back down. this was really bumpy and even though it had some really great views once for now is good..
So much more to explore....
