Very cool stuff Randy - I can't wait to drive the trail behind the dunes later this summer. It looks pretty interesting, and according to my book the views from back there are pretty awesome.

Thanks for the pics Intrepid, I think by the lack of responses you're making everyone jealous that you live where you live.... I know I am, and I'm only a few hours east of you

Anybody with four doors actually make it up the hard line at Whale's Tail on Chinaman's Gulch? (Without a winch)

I'm not sure it's "dooable" for a 4-door

I've tried and tried with different approaches, heavy pedal/ light pedal, and rock stacking (cheating). I just high-center then slip off every time

I have yet to see one make it up that line, I think you do get screwed a little with the longer wheel base on that obstacle. I did see what appeared to be a Unlimited TJ attempt it and toasted some spider gears and an axel, fun to watch that swap happen on the trail (Of course they were Dana 35c which are pretty weak and with larger tires it was stretched to the max). On another note, great pics!!

Default Sweet

I got a call today for a job offer...waiting for the paper to come in officially, but things are looking up. Hopefully a move to Denver from the Springs will be eminent.

The job is in Broomfield, but I'm looking at living near Cheesman Park. Anyone make a comparable commute? I'm wondering if that's going to be brutal.

Commute shouldn't be too bad... if your schedule is like the rest of the world's you'll be leaving the city when everyone is coming in to it.... My commute is 3 miles round trip
