Would be cool to see you all up there, I am going with another group as a guest that I got invited to run with out of the springs. I would invite you all but seeing as I am guest with them I can't really invite anyone but we will be up there on Saturday doing the trail or at least thats what I am being told, if I see anyone I know I will say hi or if you see me stop and say hi.

I ran Holy Cross last weekend, and it was awesome. All the trees were changing, not much rain or wind lately, so all the leaves were still on, and just a gorgeous trip the whole way. I am running a 2dr rubi. It has a 3.5 RE lift, but don't have the money for tires yet, so still on the stock 32's. I was runnin with another JK 4dr w/37's. We obviously didn't conquer cleaveland rock, but with some good spotting and slow going, i made it up to the city without any damage (depends on what you call damage i guess. I scraped up the rear control arms a little, and my rock rails are a little worse for the wear, but that's what they are there for right!!). So, if I can run it just fine with 32's, you should be just fine w/35's. Just take it slow and don't be afraid to stop, get out and see what's going on under the jeep!

IMO, "damage" necessitates repair. No repair needed? Not really damage per se.

Rock rashed wheels, scraped rails, gouges in skids and LCA mounts all sort of comes with the territory in this hobby.

Glad you had fun, HC is a memorable trail for sure.

Hey I know this is completely unrelated to JKs, But I wanted to bring some attention to a great cause. This Sunday (9/26/2010) is the fourth annual Emily's Parade. It is a two part event :

A motorcycle ride from Columbine High School up US Hwy 285 to Platte Canyon High School. There is no cost to participate, but Donations are welcome. All proceeds go to the I Love U Guys Foundation. The Bikes start leaving CHS @ 11 AM.

The second part is the ER::5K. It is a 5k run that Pays Tribute to Emergency Responders across the nation. The run is held at Platte Canyon High School and also starts @ 11 AM

Both events started after a gunman entered Platte Canyon High School on September 27, 2006 and took six girls hostage. Four of the girls were released, then when negotiations brokedown SWAT entered the room and rescued one of the remaining two girls before the gunman murdered 16-year old Emily Keyes and took his own life.

For more info you can check out iloveuguys. com. You can get all the info on both events there.

Okay I ran Holy Cross and in our small group of 22rigs it took all day! Downloading some pictures and video but its gonna take some time as I have a ton of data to move.....its a good thing The trail is definitely serious, I did suffer any breakage but of course had some scraps on the rails and skid plates but hey thats what there for right, we did have two coil springs pop out at full extension (easy fix) two u-joints busted, clutch linkage, and a draglink that folded 90 degrees, other than that it was a great day. Made it to cleveland rock but didn't attempted it as it was already a long day and I figured I had pushed the envelope enough. I will post up some pictures when I get to it.

Wonderful shot I'm jealous of all of the exploring and photography trips you get to take.

we ran HolyCross today

Unfortunately I didn't take any photos except for 2 or 3 from my iphone.

we made to french Creek then we had to turn around.

my JK left with a non functional rear locker and rock rash.

Bro JK left with a bad axle shaft seal (driver side) and rock rash.

Mango JK left with a leaky steering box and rock rash.

definitely kicked our ass!

and we didn't take any bypasses!

this trail is in my head now! I need to come back and walk all over it with no probs.

last year when I ran it. I had no probs till we left then I almost lost all steering because the drag link almost fell off after inspection it was stripped and I replaced it.

with all the carnage, It's still a fun trail
